Corinne was
still weak, so this was her first experience ever in a wheelchair.
The transfers in airports went flawlessly and, when she called
upon her arrival in Spain, she said she would recommend the wheelchair
route to anyone. She was whisked to the fronts of lines, driven
from gate to gate in a special car and her luggage was handled
for her. She said this was the best benefit yet for having cancer.
I stayed at
home. Planning to drive to see my daughter in Georgia then meet
Corinne at the airport in Orlando on her return ten days later.
We would spend Christmas with my family in Florida. I must admit
that I looked forward to the respite from my Caregiver duties.
