Good days
are mundane. A time to water the plants, groom the dogs, dust
and clean the house. Call friends. Prepare for a college course.
But, when you're fighting cancer, mundane is good.
On an especially
good day, Corinne has the energy to go see her horse. Maybe even
to take a short ride in the canyons.
We can sometimes
turn a normal good day into an especially good day by going to
visit a friend. Or going to a dinner party. Or, sometimes, taking
a day trip into the mountains. Those days are wonderful and memorable.
Perhaps because
Corinne tends to overdo it on good days, she is often worn out
or in pain the next day. She worries on good days how she might
have to pay for it later.
