If there is
one thing that Corinne may love more than preparing special dishes,
it's serving her spectacular food to friends.
When we got
married, we decided to forego a large party because we felt it
wouldn't offer us the opportunity to spend real time with each
person who mattered to us. Instead, we chose to have a series
of dinner parties, inviting all who would have come to the wedding
party, six or eight at a time.
When Corinne
started working as a cook, the parties slowed down. After the
cancer diagnosis, she was just too tired to continue them at all.
But she still cooks for herself and for us. She says that, while
cooking, nothing else intrudes into her world. Her complete focus
on the food gives her peace.
